TIL: Remap copy on Linux terminals

Today I learned that you can remap Ctrl+C to “Copy” in a Linux terminal, and the “Kill process” signal will still work if nothing is selected! And if you use Shift+Ctrl+C you can skip the “if nothing is selected” part because you sent the signal just the same, but the shortcut maps to nothing, so is ignored.

Having to remember using Shift+Ctrl+C only in the terminal is something I always hated about Linux, and the solution was that mind-blowingly simple.

I still wish there was a distro that mapped everything to the macOS shortcuts, but this is almost as good.
